Music, Movies, and Books

Just about got sleep deprivation from reading Stieg Larssons's books The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the Girl who played with Fire - will have a few nights rest before embarking on the 3rd and last great book in this trilogy. Love books and have at my bedside books on health, psychology, astrology, travelling in Eastern Europe, memoirs of living in Pakistan and India.
Really like watching movies and some I can watch a number of times such as 'Into the Wild' as the sound track is also really good; I'm wary of Hollywood movies, enjoy foreign films, if its from the US I particularly like Quentin Tarantino or Martin Scorsese. If Kevin Spacey or Sean Penn are in a movie - i'll see it more than once. Love Australian movies and 'Getting Square' is still a big favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left Australia to travel for one year and was gone for 4. I sailed a lot during that time as a way of traveling and earning some money. I've sailed long distances from the UK to the Caribbean, throughout the Mediterranean and down to South America and back to the US then over to Hawaii. Seen lots of beauty along the way. I love to take time to watch places wake up such as coastal villages in Goa or up high in the mountains in Nepal. While living in Tasmania I enjoyed watching the night sky and the southern lights and comet showers that could be seen at that latitude.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really interested in how the body works so love to do yoga, breathwork and meditation. I've been a therapist for 15 years so have an interest in various modalities such as Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine and Shiatsu. I'm always interested in learning more about the way we can shift paradigms of thinking or creating more positive patterns of behaviour and creativity in our lives. I'd also like to learn to make simple pieces of furniture to sit on in the garden :)
