In 2019, I backpacked around Europe, and loved it. I stayed at a few Couchsurfer flats, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoy getting to talk with locals, and learning about the culture of wherever I am.

In 2018 I landed a month long job in Alaska. I visited the Matanuska Glacier Valley while I was there. I am normally a fairly careful person, but when my friend and I got to the glacier itself, I decided that I was going to climb all over it. After about an hour of climbing, we started hearing cracking noises, and decided that we needed to climb down. We then started exploring the lower area of the valley at the base of the glacier, but when I took a step onto a small mud puddle, the ground gave way, and I fell onto a river that was under the ice(oh, and I didn't know how to swim well). Before I went all the way in, I sank my fingers into the mud and looked at my friend and whispered "Help me", at which point he pulled me out of the freezing water. I shivered back to the car while trying to avoid any other holes that led to massive underground lake that was under us. Aside from my cellphone perishing, the whole thing was rather fun.
