About Me
I'm now retired.
I like to travel and to meet people and learn to know other cultures.
I was an editor in my activ workingtime and worked for a churchnewspaper, a weekly newspaper for the protestantic, lutheran church in lower saxonia.
I grew up in eastgermany (GDR) and moved to the west before the wall come down in 1989.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to meet nice people and lern to know other countries, their life and cultur.
Interests
I'm interested in all kinds of art and culture, such like painting, sculpture and architecture. Literature and history and politics as well. I like all kinds of music and I sing in a choir.
I like to walk and hike, also in the mountains. At home I do a lot of cycling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2012 I walked around Annapurna in Nepal, it was a great challange for me in the age of 67, I made it by my self and carried the backpack on my own, no porter, no guide. And it worked very well, this gave my life a "kick".
