Overview
About Me
A curious soul who believes the world reveals its most intriguing secrets when we venture beyond our comfort zones. Avidly exploring diverse cultures and landscapes has shown that every new encounter holds the power to broaden horizons and spark meaningful friendships. Authenticity, shared stories, and genuine human connection are highly valued, whether it’s over a cup of tea in a bustling bazaar or during a leisurely walk under a starry sky.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There’s a blend of open-mindedness, humor, and grounded wisdom at play, guided by the understanding that laughter transcends language barriers and compassion bridges differences in perspective. The greatest pleasure lies in discovering hidden culinary gems, immersing in age-old traditions, and exchanging life lessons that enrich the way we see the world. Through Couchsurfing, the goal is to create an atmosphere of trust, warmth, and mutual respect where everyone feels free to be themselves.
Interests
I love immersing myself in the energy of cities, observing everyday rituals, daydreaming about new communal possibilities, and weaving together diverse influences. Drawing on my background in event design and cultural projects, I relish feeding off different cultures to spark creative ideas. Analog photography, DJing, reading, and traveling all serve as gateways to fresh perspectives, each one fueling my desire to bring people together in meaningful, imaginative ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a soft spot for electronic music, especially the more forward-thinking sounds that push creative boundaries—artists like Peggy Gou, Daniel Avery, Bob Moses, Avalon Emerson really resonate with me. Beyond that, I’ve got a deep appreciation for Turkish folk (it reminds me of my roots), as well as funk, disco, and even world music in general. In essence, I’m open to any genre that tells a unique story or sparks genuine emotion.
Movies
I lean toward indie and arthouse cinema, films that immerse you in new perspectives or explore the human condition in intriguing ways. Directors like Jim Jarmusch or Wim Wenders often find their way onto my watch list for their distinctive storytelling. I also enjoy clever comedies and documentaries that illuminate cultural, social, or historical topics.
Books
My shelves are a mix of creative nonfiction, cultural theory, and event design/marketing resources (anything that fuels fresh ideas for community-building and storytelling). I also love broader works on history, sociology, and psychology that help me better understand the way people connect, books like “Sapiens” by Yuval Noah Harari or “The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell. Essentially, if a book offers a deeper insight into culture and human behavior, I’m all in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Right now, I’m actually in the midst of it: I set off from Lisbon on the second day of the year, traveling south through Portugal, and I’m continuing on into Andalusia. It’s an inspiring way to start the new year, immersing myself in different cultures, exploring new landscapes, and collecting fresh ideas at every turn.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
Happy to share insights on event design, community building, and creative marketing. I can also give tips on analog photography or even show you how to spin a few tracks if you’re curious about DJing.
Learn:
Always on the lookout for new cultural experiences, whether it’s learning traditional recipes, discovering local art scenes, or picking up words and phrases in different languages.
Share:
Love exchanging stories, travel hacks, and inspirations, anything that feeds the soul and sparks fresh ideas. And of course, if we have time, sharing a meal or exploring a hidden part of the city together is always a highlight.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring a blend of creativity and hospitality wherever I go. Whether it’s DJing an impromptu set, sharing event-design insights for local community gatherings, or simply cooking a meal inspired by Turkish flavors, I love contributing to a shared experience. If you’re curious about analog photography, I’m more than happy to help you explore that world. And of course, great conversation—ranging from travel stories to cultural exchanges-is always on the table.
