About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore incredible places and make connections with incredible people.

ABOUT ME

I'm new to the site, but I've certainly done my fair share of couch surfing off-site over the years. I usually spend my most of my travels living in the woods in my car at various climbing destinations. Currently, I am on a road trip with my dog across the Pacific Northwest to decide where I want to live and work. I'm actually writing this profile from a bar stool in some small town near Moscow, ID.

Even if I am unable to find a place to crash, I'd love to meet up with people to have coffee or find out the cool areas of the towns I am traveling through.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to smile, but I like making other people smile even more. My purpose in life is to help to improve the quality of life of others, while having the best time possible for myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Working on it. I'm waiting on a few friends from home to add me as a friend here on CS so that I'll have references.

Interests

I spend a lot of time on one humanitarian venture or another. One of the things that brings me the most joy, is bringing joy to others. Cheesy, but true.

I am more interested in deep meaningful conversations, than what you bought at the mall last week. There aren't really any discussion topics that make me uncomfortable... except my grandma's sex life. She starting talking about it the other day and I had to make her stop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finishing grad school was the hardest thing I've ever done.

Free solo climbing is the scariest and most liberating thing I've done.

Being a great friend to those I care about is one of the most rewarding things in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I heard a quote from an amazing video recently: "If I have to scrape a living, at least it's a living worth scraping. If there's no future in it, at least the present is worth remembering."
