About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live for others, not for ourselves
ABOUT ME
We are engaged and will be looking forward to our wedding May 16th!
I (Scott) plan on continuing my education to earn a PhD in Chemistry so that I can teach overseas, hopefully in Africa. I am also a private pilot and hope to pilot fights for missionaries and doctors in Africa. Lida is planning on entering Med school next year so that she can help cure people and help them live long healthy lives. She dreams of working as a missionary doctor, so we go together perfectly! :-) Lida is radical about nature, and loves spending time doing anything, especially meditating, outdoors.
We are both very adventurous and love traveling wherever and whenever we can.
PHILOSOPHY
We both believe that living our lives for more than ourselves is what God has called us to do. This is why we want to spend our lives traveling the world helping people, meeting people, and making new friends everywhere we go.
We're both very open minded and believe that gathering as many ideas and thoughts from as many people as possible is the best way to live life. Communication and youthful creativity breaks down when one has a closed mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are in the process of buying a house which has an extra bedroom to use as a guest room. We're hoping to keep it occupied most of the time with CSers, so we don't have those ever-hovering parents stopping by for a stay too often! Lol.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have yet to use CS, but we are taking a trip around the world this spring, and hope to make connections throughout Europe!
Interests
Cycling! We both love road biking and enjoy taking bike trips.
Both of us enjoy talking about science any day! If you enjoy science, nature, philosophy, etc, etc, I'm sure we could enjoy a very long conversation with you! Of course, we love talking about anything really, :-) especially the environment, peace, and anything that we can learn from you.
Either way, we both love meeting new people and experiencing other cultures! I (Scott) have been to Italy, and Lida has been to Egypt and Jordan. I speak a very small amount of Italian, and Lida knows some Japanese.
