Read everything by Dostoevsky , favorite author among the Russians realists. Gorky taught me more mysticism than Rumi (not to piss off all the Rumi fans out there)
Tolstoy helped me to grow up.
Recently read the Alexandria Quartet by Lawrence Durrell and was completely blown away by this new genre of experimental literature.
