It's always been difficult for me to tell people 'about myself'. Not because I am unsure of myself or anything but because I believe that 'who I am' cannot be put into words, but is rather something that people experience. Spending even a little time with me will tell you all you need to know about me because I am the same person with everybody and always consider anyone I meet as a friend from the get go. BUT, alas, I do need to tell you guys something or speculate that I'm a serial killer or something =P so here goes.

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan and have only one older sister but have lived almost all of the first 18 years of my life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I had an awesome time there with great friends, academic success and a comfortable life. I then moved to Islamabad, Pakistan to pursue a 4 year Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the best university of the country. This phase of my life truly resultant in personal and professional development and growth for me and I had an absolute cracker of a time! After that I moved back to my home city of Karachi to pursue a career and am currently working at Siemens as a natural gas turbine commissioning engineer (in training for now :D ). For those of you who don't care about this, just know that my job is related to machines that use a fuel to make energy.

Anyways, my interests include a deep love of history, culture, travel, music, movies, technology, current affairs, global politics, and much more! I have been told I am fun to be around (and I like to think so too =D) and that I am a great friend!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music EXCEPT crap like dubstep or K-pop, etc. From rock, country, folk to classical western and eastern music, I love it all. Same goes with movies. A good movie is a good movie in my opinion. There does not have to be a specific genre I would identify as my favourite. And, unfortunately, I'm not that much of a book reader BUT I do read A LOT. General topics like current affairs, history, culture, technological articles, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fear of drowning/deep water and heights were my biggest fears growing up. So, I would have to say that the most amazing thing I've done is jump off a cliff into a lake!! =D

It was an incredible experience for me and a moment of great personal victory over my fears and it felt oh so satisfying!
