Attempting the American dream in just three months!!

ABOUT ME

We met at University ever since then our lives have been one adventure after another! We are traveling the USA from November to February and are hoping to couch surf all the way! Hotels are too formal, how can you properly get to know America until you live inside its peoples lives?

We want to meet people, learn about the culture, introduce them to ours, let them laugh at our accents and not understand our terrible British humor. We want to have genuine friends around the globe to tell them our stories and listen to theirs. And at the end of the stay have joint stories together that will always link us.

Chris, I'm 25 and just graduated from university this summer. So before the long, hard search for a real job begins i want to see some of the world. I'm looking forward to travelling across the USA with hopefully Australia next on the cards.

Jenny, I'm 22, and from Hastings! I work in the television industry as a crew member, floor managing, camera operating and all the bits in-between! I can not wait to start seeing the world. Firstly America then I would love to visit Hong Kong, Australia, Italy.....

PHILOSOPHY

Chris, I don't think too deeply. If i get an idea i go for it with thinking about the consequences, i feel life is too short to look back and have regrets!

Jenny, I like to grab opportunities when they come my way. I am a great believer in that everything happens for a reason. I seem to learn more about myself with every decision I make. Since meeting Chris I have done things I would never have otherwise, for example go into my TV career, and even travel America. Without sounding too cliché I think we just live life to the full.

We have only just come across this site through word of mouth. Although once we come back from our travels our couch in Brighton will be available for anyone who needs it! In the mean time, feel free to get in touch and we may know some people who may be-able to put you up!

Chris, I'm very keen on sport, i play tennis, table tennis and football but i love playing many other sports. I enjoy watching films, i'm going through a bit of a mafia stage at the moment!

Jenny, I enjoy any social activity. I hate being by myself! Whether its just a trip into town or a night out I love to surround myself with friends for a really good time! I love going out for dinner- I am always hungry! I enjoy dancing and I go to the gym- although I don't enjoy it at the time when I have to force myself out of bed in the morning to go, I love the feeling of achievement once I'm out!

Chris, i love Back to the future 1,2 and 3, the Godfather thrilogy, Anchorman, Old school, Casino and Goodfellas to name a few, but i love most films! I'm currently reading The Last Godfathers by John Follain.

Jenny, Music is my main thing, always have the radio on, from Pop, to R n B, to Cheesy 80's classics I love anything I can have a dance to! Apart from heavy metal- It scares me!

Movies make me cry- even when they are supposed to be funny. I was shocked when in 'The Breakup' Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston actually broke up- thats not a romcom! Not that the title didn't give it away or anything...

Books again girly, P.S. I love you...

Chris, I've done may things i'm proud of but nothing yet i would call amazing, this WILL change on my travels and the more people i meet the more amazing the experience can be.

Jenny, Simple things like paddling in Egypt and having all the fishes swim around my feet!

Chris, I would like to learn another language. I had the opportunity to school but i didn't make the most of it and now i would like to start changing that. I'm very keen on history and would love to share thoughts on history.

Jenny, I would really like to learn some photography skills while we are traveling. I don't want our pictures to look too touristy yet naturally artistic.
