About Me
CURRENT MISSION: make it socially acceptable for people to sing while going about their day
A few years ago I joined couchsurfing because I had a bunch of friends who surfed/hosted, and it seemed like a nice way to see the world. I managed to see a few places, meet some great people, learn and share.
I studied peace and conflict studies in school, but I've also studied math. I like to try new foods (I like most that I try) and listen to different types of music (I like some that I listen to). I am a classical singer in my spare time, and have sung in some operas and lots of choirs, and recitals etc. I sing a lot at home or just while doing normal things (like cooking). I like to try cooking new stuff because I like to eat. I'm not the best cook, but I'm not half bad. I'm pretty good at eating stuff. I was born in South Korea, but I moved to Canada and then the UK. I can speak/read Korean, but not super well. I know a bit about Korea, but I know a lot about Canada, even though I can't speak French very well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can host in Canada. Guests are welcome in Canada if they are interesting and open.
I surfed in Paris, Sardinia and London, and met many cool CS folks along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The last movie I watched was The Wild
Music: bachata, classical, folk, allsorts
Books: Due to work/school I read a lot about wars and guns. It's pretty interesting. The last novel I read was Sputnik Sweetheart. I like Haruki Murakami.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've sung in an opera, and I've also sung on the streets of Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach classical singing. I've learned classical singing for many many years. I'm sure that almost everyone can become a better singer with the right teacher, practice and time. I don't teach professionally, but I have given voice lessons many times (to friends, or in singing groups).
I love to learn how to cook new dishes. I also really like to cook with people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, music, the story of how a water bottle saved my life.
