About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Reading as many of the classic comic books as humanly possible.

ABOUT ME

I've studied linguistics at the university, but ended up working in IT. Generally I'm a cheerful and easy-going person, although as an introvert I occassionally need some time alone to recharge my batteries. I love sailing, all kinds of traditional and classical music, and all things Southeast Asian. My interests include economics, history, statistics, strategy, international affairs, and much more. I consume huge amounts of artworks of all kinds (music albums, books, comic books, movies, etc.) and I do mean HUGE (we are talking more than one new music album a day on average). I like to base my opinions on facts and tend to be skeptical of things that contradict scientific data.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is sacred.
Forests are the only true temples.
Thankfulness is the key.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: classical music (especially choral), traditional music (especially East Asian), jazz

Movies: Kobayashi, Coppola, Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Leone, Kurosawa, Tarantino, some anime

Books: I love all kinds of good books, both fiction and non-fiction, way too many titles to mention here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Offshore sailing is always amazing.

Four craziest places where I've slept:
1. A hut on the top of Mt.Skola, Norway
2. A camp in the middle of the jungle, Bukit Lawang, Indonesia
3. A bus on the Transsumatran "Highway"
4. A yacht in the middle of the storm on the North Sea

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach Polish, English and some every-day Indonesian, as well as basic sailing skills.

Share: Knowledge about traditional music of various cultures.

Learn: Chinese, Russian, Lithuanian, local languages. I also love to learn about or exchange records of any kind of traditional music that is rare and worthy of attention.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
