About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as many places on earth as I can and to share those adventures with a bunch of inspiring people.

ABOUT ME

I live to travel, eat and hug.

PHILOSOPHY

Get it while you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am at home I am available to meet up to talk over coffee/tea and to take a walk around the city to help you get a feel for the place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experience began in Chile and has been very positive. It has been a great way for me to get to know a place through the eyes of interesting people.

Interests

I'll pause anywhere to touch and smell a flower. I also really appreciate National Public Radio, dancing, singing in the shower, learning what gets people out of bed in the morning and any book that is recommended to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan, The Agony and The Ecstasy by Irving Stone, Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, The Open Door by Latifa Al Zayyat

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking along the Great Wall of China with one of my best friends was an amazing experience for me. Jumping out of an airplane was an intense challenge, and I'm really glad I did it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to improve on my very basic French and Spanish language skills. I'd also like to knit with anyone who also enjoys it, but can never remember how to cast-on. I can help you set up a compost pile or garden bed and put food by for the winter. I can also show you how to darn a sock, mend a hole in your pants, sew a button back on, or hem those jeans if you're short like me :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Botswana, Canada, China, Cuba, Egypt, Fiji, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland, New Zealand, United States
