ABOUT ME

Like travelling, especially in the Icelandic highlands, on foot, bicycle or skis. Have climbed many of the mountains, bicycled most of the mountain roads, crossed the big glaciers and the smaller rivers, mainly in the short summer when travelling can be done both day and night as the sun never sets, as well as in the winter, where daylight is a short lived luxury. That is in Iceland. Abroad I have been more "turistlike." Have visited all countries in Western and Northern Europe except for Portugal. In Eastern Europe I have been to Poland, the Check republic and Slovenia. Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, the United States, Cuba, Kenya ...

PHILOSOPHY

Often there is a little work needed to to do greater difference for others. And if you can meet interesting people on the way, all the better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I have only had two guests, but we have had a bloody good time. At least my couch will continue to be available. And I have stayed for a couch night in Germany, Holland and Greece.
