ABOUT ME

I'm addicted to laughing and funny situations, even the awkward, uncomfortable ones (maybe that's one of the reasons I love to travel). I manage a research lab doing top secret research, and I teach yoga classes at a studio and a domestic violence shelter. I never met a vegetable I didn't like, though I do play favorites.

PHILOSOPHY

Music sets the soul free. As do laughter and dancing.
Nothing is "good" or "bad"... it just is.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been an Atlanta tour guide/host for about 4 years, and I'm getting involved in the Atlanta CS network. I also studied for 6 months in Aalborg, Denmark where I hosted two people and couchsurfed for the first (and second) time. I will cook food for you, do yoga with you in a park, go dancing, ride around the city on bikes with you, whatever floats your boat. New experiences, good conversation, and respect are all I ask for.

I love yoga, my job and my cat, enjoying coffee and beer, making coffee and beer, cooking (especially for other people), dancing, reading, riding my bike, swimming, being in new (and sometimes weird) environments, traveling, finding another sweet niche in Atlanta, watching good movies, sleeping, playing apples to apples, brushing my teeth, doing cartwheels, introducing people to new music, being introduced to new music, teaching tolerance and the power of words, meeting people, enjoying how beautiful, intelligent, and open-minded my friends and family are, and sharing their wonderful company with other people!

I took a cruise on the Sognefjord in Norway. Laerdal is one of the most amazing places I've ever been to.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Meeting people through CS brings awareness to how similar we all are and how arbitrary our differences really are. There is something special and intimate about the people you meet, an understanding that's hard to explain to a non-surfer. You know?
Plus, it's so fun! Why wouldn't you want to travel the world and meet people who can show you a good time?!
