My name is Hayden, and I grew up in New Zealand. I am currently traveling overseas for two years and would like to immerse myself in local cultures of the countries I’m traveling through. I’m traveling by myself, so feel this could be a good chance to get to know some locals and hopefully makes some friends a long the way!! Unfortunately I don’t have many references at this stage as I’ve only just joined Couchsurfing, but I feel this could be a great way to get to know the locals, as well as having a few laughs along the way over a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel this would allow me to get off the beaten track a bit, and allow me to learn about the people of the country I’m staying in at the time. I love meeting new people and learning about their interests

Anything involving the ocean, surfing, diving etc. I also love socialising and attempting to cook as well 😂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 weeks backpacking through south east Asia. This was my first opportunity to try backpacking, and I absolutely loved it. We spent a week on an island in Thailand, where we learnt how to scuba dive, before diving a shipwreck 30m underwater.

I feel I can share my experiences of my life so far, and help them learn about New Zealand if they are looking at traveling there. I’m not afraid of trying new foods so would love to help out with cooking meals.
