About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun. Live Life. What more is there??..

ABOUT ME

Really chilled out, love to laugh and have a good time. Live for my passions! Enjoy meeting new people, I'm at home being in the great outdoors. Love my family ~ we're all really close. Travel.. Traveling is in my blood (I was born in Dubai) - my parents traveled for 14 years! In turn, they passed their sense of adventure onto my brothers and I. I love music and the memories that get associated with various songs. Although I can't play, I can cut some pretty sweet moves on the D-floor.

PHILOSOPHY

Hug a stranger.
Laugh as much as possible.
Always try to learn something new.
Push your limits!
Be kind, be friendly ~ Homeless people have some the best stories!
Play it cool.

You only get one life.. So make sure you enjoy it! Unless you're a cat; then you've got options.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I have a couch and it's available, it's yours!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only the best! Always had travelers/nomads/friends surf my place back home. Couches I've surfed have been nothing but delightful!

I believe I have a good CS-etiquette (always clean up after myself and replace what I use) but people do have their own ways of doing things so feel free to tell me if I'm doing it wrong. :D

I don't think you need to write a huge email when either requesting a couch or being requested but I always read peoples profiles and therefore you should do the same... At least mention some common ground so I know you read my profile. Happy days!

Interests

Laughing, photography, snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, scuba diving, fishing, camping, hunting & gathering, people, LIFE, music, dancing, partying, building forts, football/soccer, biking, beers & bbq's, GREAT food ~ LOVE to eat. Learning new things, meeting new people, telling a story. Anything outdoors related is pretty tops! Random adventures. Nights when you say it's going to be a quiet one and you walk in the door at sunrise.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - ANYTHING!!! My iPod doesn't discriminate towards a certain genre. NZ music is pretty rad.

MOVIES - LOVE MY MOVIES.. Will watch anything once.
Wes Anderson films are always great, Coen brothers do a fantastic job as does Guy Ritchie. Zack Snyder has awesome style. Support the locals ~ Peter Jackson, Lee Tamahori ('Once we warriors'), Taika Waititi ('BOY' -Hilarious!!). Then there is the list of foreign films which could go on and on ~ Sin Nombre, Trolljegeren, El Secreto de sus Ojos, El Infierno...

BOOKS - Last couple of books ~ 'Tokyo Vice' which was an excellent read, 'A Long Way Gone'. I enjoy books about life stories, however imagination is a wonderful thing and I'm very envious of the skill in creative writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There cannot be only one!! There are so many amazing things I have been lucky enough to have seen/done.

http://vimeo.com/5988036 New Zealand in general is an AMAZING place!! I was surfing with my youngest brother and we had a pod of hector dolphins riding the waves with us AND whales breaching the surface out the back it was truly an amazing experience!!.. Mother nature rocks!

I have free dived with great white sharks, jumped off 60ft cliffs, been dog sledding, nearly drowned.. twice. Some of the simplest things are the most memorable ~ While in Laos I was walking through a remote village and the locals invited me into their hut; made me feel so welcomed and didn't ask for anything other than for me to enjoy Laos. I made a return journey a few days later and gave the kids a bunch of children's books.. They were stoked!!

Teach, Learn, Share
