About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to improve my German!
ABOUT ME
I like to think the west coast of Canada defines me in some stereotypical ways. I've done a lot of camping and backpacking in the wilderness, I do wear plaid, I say "eh" sometimes, and I find maple syrup delicious.
I'm very easy going and positive and love both adventuring and socializing.
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm willing to share what I know about any subject (particularly my knowledge of English and Canadian culture), laugh at pretty much any joke, share in an adventure, or help out with chores wherever I get hosted!
Interests
I love the outdoors and doing things outside! My favourite things are canoeing, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, and running.
I like board games like chess, backgammon and monopoly, and love all card games (hearts and cribbage are my favourites).

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
I read a lot. I used to read fantasy in high school almost exclusively, or any book with a cool cover. I love lord of the rings, it is definitely my all time favourite set of books. I've read the trilogy, The Hobbit, and the Silmarillion multiple times. I've also read the Chronicles of Narnia and they are a close second place.
Nowadays I read mostly classic fiction. I like discussing books and I'm always looking for recommendations.
Movies/TV:
I mostly enjoy action and adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, and horror. I enjoy intelligent movies but can be just as pleased with special effects and explosions.
Music:
I like most types of music if its a good song. I listen to Electronic and Indie music most often. Pretty Lights is my all-time favourite artist, though there are many others I love.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled to a region near Fukuoka, Japan for an international rugby tournament, of which my high school was chosen to take part.
An 18 day organized trip with my high school outdoor education program where we paddled canoes down the Lower Stikine River which flows into Alaska.
A trip to central Europe this summer (mostly Germany), which was my first and only time ever being in Europe. The whole trip was unforgettable.
