About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Play as much live music as possible in Australia.

ABOUT ME

I am a musician currently touring in Australia with my bandmates. We are called The River and The Road. Check us out at www.tratr.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a roommate who is super involved in CS...she inspired me to get involved and host some of the wandering souls lucky enough to find themselves in Beautiful BC. We feast and we relax, so stop by on your travels for some West Coast hospitality and a pretty awesome futon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My Roommate, Devon, and myself have hosted around dozen couch surfers in Vancouver. I have yet to surf formally through the website, and myself and my band mates could definitely use some couches and floors in the next couple of months when we are between tour stops.

Interests

I love playing music, first and foremost. It is the bread and butter of my life. I play upright bass, electric bass, spanish guitar, and blues/rock guitar.

In BC, I love to hike, rock climb, snowboard, and toss the frisbee.

Gardening. Come check out our rooftop garden in East Vancouver.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Jungle, Heart of Darkness, Cien años de soledad, Dharma Bums, Ishmael, Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, a Confederate General from Big Sur, Burmese Days, ¡Guerra¡, What is the What, en algún lugar de la selva lacondóna, el fuego y la palabra, and so many more i cannot remember

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent about six weeks accompanying an autonomous indigenous social movement in the mountains of the Mexican southeast. While I was so very disconnected from their struggle and epistemology, the lasting lessons I learnt have resonated profoundly and have shaped my world vision of transnational solidarity and global economic justice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer guitar and gardening consultation amongst other random tasks.
