About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rome, Erasmus for 2012-2013.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting people. Not just going out with them but getting to know how they see their lifes, their perception about other people, their way of thinking...I feel very attracted to other cultures.

I'm easy going and communicative and I think I get adapted to different contexts easily, althought I have just lived occidental experiences (for the moment!).

The main thing I like in life are the contrasts. I am full of contrasts and I try to be.

Now I feel happy and satisfied because I know I can do whatever I want in life. I know this may sound obvious, but I come from a country in which the majority of people study their degree, postdegree, find a partner, buy a dog and a car, get married, have kids... Years ago I thought I wouldn't be able to scape this "fate", because whenever I talked about living abroad, not getting married or anything linked with an "alternative" way of living, everyone would say that that's just what you say when you are young...but I realized it was just part of my culture.

I want to travel to every single part of the world!! And live for long terms when I feel like I want to. The only thing that got me attached is my degree, eventhough now I am not in my country thanks to Erasmus!

PHILOSOPHY

"Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)"

Walt Whitman.

Not in a way that I am full of myself! but that I love contrasts as I said before, and sometimes contrasts lead in contradictions.

I think we are all serious about being coherent with ourselves, but if we let that self-imposition go, we will be able to embrace lots of different points of view or to experiment things that we wouldn't if we kept attached to "This-isn't-for-me" feeling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Depending on the period, for the moment I've just hosted people in Seville, this year I hosted in Rome, and I want to surf to any part of Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted two nice german girls for three days at home in Seville, and met a guy from North America (that I am still in touch with) and a girl from Lithuania for several days.

Interests

LIFE.

-Reading: everything which makes me reflect or learn.
-Dancing and singing (doesn't mean I do it well...)
-Meeting people.
-Traveling: every time I go out I try to stay a little apart from the tourist paths, I prefer the street melting pot and the neighourhoods.
-Music: I listen to it every single day.
-Food: I can eat like three Joeys Trivianni would.
-Jogging: I thinkg it's the only habit I have...
-Analyzing (this just goes into my head)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not really into cinema, I prefer music and books. But one film I enjoyed was "Quadrophenia", and the last one I've seen is "Dogville". My favourite topic is one that I don't know if it is classified below certain tittle. I love the movies that show how people live in other periods or countries, or the modus operandi of some subcultures, like in Quadrophenia. I really enjoyed "Slumdog Millionaire", "The best exotic Marigold Hotel", and "The Monsoon Wedding".

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel more like learning than like teaching, but anyway you have a spanish teacher here for you!

I like learning about sociology, anthropology and nourishment.I think anthropology should be taken as a subject in high school.

Countries I’ve Visited
