I have used Couchsurfing pretty much since Casey Fenton started it. I know him like many other core members who built this CS community.
For some odd reason I have lost all my references and friends here.
New commercial interests are clashing with original values ehich were based on hospitality exchange.

I am adventurous and open minded straight guy from Finland now living in Australia.
I live an alternative off-the-grid lifestyle in my campervan. I travel a lot and I am at home anywhere I park my van. Sometimes I like staying in a bush for a few days, kayaking, short walks, hammock camping and riding my recumbent trike. Some days I prefer staying in cities and towns, socialising, working out at the gym and keeping in touch with my mates.
At the moment I am not in paid work due to an injury which does not define my life and I can do most of the activities I used to do but no more paragliding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a keen traveler and want to meet other travelers to share costs, magic scenery, music and good stories.
I can offer mobile couchsurfing in a hammock somewhere out in the nature. I have two Hennessyhammock guest hammocks which are warm and dry with mosquito nets and rain fly. Location varies according to weather and activities. This is free camping in the bush off the beaten track.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning to walk again after a spinal injury then few years later cycled across NZ.

I did the 1/4 top half before my accident so I have cycled every meter across NZ now :)
