About Me
I don't know. What I think I know about myself is constantly shifting. Right now I'm an introvert learning to be social and outgoing, exploring that part of myself I've not let out often. I've still got a lot to learn. We have ideas about ourselves, but how accurate are we really? I've been slam-dunked in many situations, and I learn a bit more about myself along the way. Some contradictory or surprising to what I thought. But I think in essence I'll always be the same. It's not my core that's changing but the part that's being expressed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always dreamed of having adventures, and travelling the world.
Interests
I'm still in many ways a fledgling. I've been trying to practice professional skills. Strengthen my social skills, keep focused, etc. It's an awkward stage, full of false starts. I'm gradually growing bolder, and finding my way in the adult world.
I'm most comfortable with my physical form when dancing. I really awake from my slumber when I have a chance to rock out. I tend to gravitate toward theatre people and other fellow actors. I kid myself any time I try to convince myself I could live without the performance arts. Sure, I could. But that's like trying to survive without a soul.
I connect to the queer communities. I think quite a lot about the role gender plays in my life and the nature of relationships. It's like a never ending puzzle, where I'm constantly turning around the pieces and interpreting the colors and shapes in different ways. I'm learning to articulate myself in precise ways, while also having to accept the ambiguity of it all.
I have a sort of addiction to volunteering. I sometimes forget that I need money, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled half way around the world by myself to volunteer in the forests of Borneo for a month. I got to see the rare orangutan in the wild.
