CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to visit as many places around the world possible on my 12 month Gap Year and to meet as many different people as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old from Melbourne, Australia and I am currently travelling with my 22 year old boyfriend of three years, Dan. We just spent under six months in Whistler, Canada working for the ski resort on a Working Holiday Visa. We spent time snowboarding and skiing, partying, exploring, making new friends and learning about Canadian life! We then spent two weeks driving in a Wicked Camper Van from Vancouver all the way down the Californian coast to San Diego. We have now made it to Turkey and are three weeks into our month of travelling around the country. Our plans for the next six months involve backpacking around Europe and learning about different cultures and countries as well as making new friends and meeting new people. I am a happy, energetic, positive, outgoing, crazy at times, friendly and lover of life type of person. Dan is very much the same, and we are extremely excited to travel Europe and the UK to see what this world has to offer us!

Everything happens for a reason , therefore things may not always go to plan... So just go with it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am travelling at the moment, I would like to participate in couchsurfing at other people's places in Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had no couch surfing experiences however we learnt about this awesome way of meeting people from our two friends whom we just met on a 7-night Sail Turkey Cruise. They have had the most positive experiences of couch surfing around Europe and highly recommended this to us!

I love comedies and romance movies - anything with Adam Sandler is great. Music is a huge part of my life and I can listen to almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ANZAC Day in Gallipoli, Turkey - the most amazing experience I have had to date as an Australian. Learning about the history of the First World War was the most rewarding experience I have encountered.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach about Australian culture as well as share my experiences about my travels over the past few years. In terms of learning, I would love to learn about different cultures and have always wanted to learn a different language.
