Overview
About Me
I am a 25-year old Assistant Language Teacher in Imabari, Ehime, enjoying the inaka life since July 2016.
I am friendly, outgoing, and have a genuine interest in delving into diverse cultures and ideas. I believe the best adventures are complimented by good conversations with friends and strangers over a drink or shared meal.
My mission in this current chapter of life is to embrace the frightening and awkward, and seize every opportunity to learn and grow and find community where I am at. And also to continually study Japanese so this mission can be fulfilled! ^^"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent the Fall semester of my junior year of college on study abroad trip in Ghana, West Africa. I studied literature and culture, as well as the Ashanti dialect "Twi" and traditional drumming and dancing. I also interned at a school in the rural farming village of Adenkrebi.
This was my first experience living in a foreign country and integrating myself into a new culture. I encountered new ideas, made close friends, and discovered the world is indeed a very big place.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories and my culture. I can also help with housework (including dishes!).
