About Me

Taking (another) break from studying to see some more of the world:

SRI LANKA - NEPAL - INDIA

I'm open minded, relaxed, and intrigued by almost anything. I love a good laugh and anyone who can teach me how to cook their favourite vegetarian dish, or point me in the direction of some good times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never had anything but absolutely phenomenal CouchSurfing experiences with people who have gone out of their way to show me their way of life. Staying with the locals of the places I've been has enriched my travels ten-fold.

Interests

My main interests pretty much drive everything I do in life-- good food, good people, beautiful words, surfing, hiking, dancing, art and music!

I love to adventure and explore, to see all the wonder in a place, and I love to lay in the sun like a big fat lizard and soak up the more lazy side of life as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up absolutely obsessed with the Harry Potter series, and through my teen years loved movies like Into the Wild and Moonrise Kingdom. I love a good Australian film; Candy and Somersault are a couple of my favourites.
While I couch surfed in Europe, my new friends showed me The Dreamers and The Big Lebowski which I watch all the time now.

Im reading the Secret Life of Plants at the moment-- 1984, The Beach, The Tea Rose, Room, Middlesex, A New Earth, and On The Road are all books that I wish I'd never read so I could read them all again for the first time.

My roots are in hip-hop, as a kid thats all I would listen to; I even have a little tattoo celebrating an OZ band, Horrorshow. I think the poetry and the amount of words within it kickstarted my love for poetry and writing. Now I'm more into Nina Kraviz, Bonobo, Hiatus Kiaoyte, Hermitude, Whatsonot.. I can dig anything jazzy enough to get me moving.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ive done some cool shit, I've seen heaps of major historical sites and tall important structures of the world-- But I cannot take my mind off of sunlight pouring through foliage in Spanish forests, phosphorescent bugs lighting up beneath my drunk eyes in warm waters near my house. Dancing in Trafalgar Sq. as a sax player serenaded us under the moon, dancing under a lightning storm in Berlin, dancing on the beach as Jeff Mills played for 6 hours straight. Fuck, I just realised how much I love dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to come away from this trip with as much knowledge and friends as possible-- I want to be immersed in your culture and share all that I have to give and teach.

"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." - Albert Einstein.
