I'm a student who's trying to figure out how to balance my passion for travel and creative writing while still finding a way to make a decent living in this world. I have no idea what I'm doing. So for now I'm just trying to go with the flow and take advantage of any adventures life may offer me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently in Marbella and love to meet any fellow couchsurfers in the area! I'm also doing a bit of travel around Europe while I'm here and doing a bit of surfing. I haven't been able to host yet, but I'm excited to be able to open up my couch to the CS community when I go back to New York for good in January!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a great experience with CouchSurfing. I moved to Marbella and didn't know a single person, and met most of the people who became really good friends through this website :) I've also used it to surf a few couches in Europe and my hosts have all been kind enough to be tour guides--it's been great to be able to see all of these cities through locals' perspectives.

Movies: My all time favorite movies are St. Elmo's Fire, Into the Wild, Garden State, Blue Valentine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dead Poets' Society, but I enjoy a wide range. Hot Rod, Anchorman, Zoolander, etc. are also some of my favorites, and I must admit I'm also a fan of the classic chick flick, i.e. Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Miss Congeniality, The Notebook.

Music: I'll listen to just about anything, but I'd say my favorite type of music is of the indie/alternative/folk variety. Death Cab for Cutie/Postal Service/Ben Gibbard, Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, Avett Brothers, Coldplay, Decemberists, Grouplove, Imagine Dragons, Of Mice and Men, JayMay, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Jeremy Fisher, Vampire Weekend, Ra Ra Riot, among others.

Books: I'm a huge book geek. Classics/fiction are my main area. Favorites include The Great Gatsby, The Waves, Ulysses, Life of Pi, The Fault in Our Stars (anything John Green, really), Mysteries of Pittsburgh, A Moveable Feast, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've done a lot of things, but I'd say my top experience of actually doing something would be skydiving. It's amazing, and I think everyone should do it once. And I would say that my top experience of seeing something would be Angkor Wat in Cambodia. There was so much I fell in love with about Cambodia, but Angkor Wat in particular is such a beautiful and fascinating place.

I'm not sure how good of a teacher I would be at anything, but I'd say my areas of expertise are English, literature, web design/development, photography. There are so many things I'd like to learn. I speak a bit of Spanish, but it could definitely use improvement. And I'll take lessons in any language. I can't pin down exactly what I want to learn, but if there's an opportunity to learn something new, I'll usually take it.
