ABOUT ME

Hey!

My names Hayley, i am 24 years old and live in beautiful Sydney. I have a serious passion for travel and change and can often be found on travel websites when I should be studying.

I am at university studying education and I was part time as a Preschool teacher - which is amazing but exhausting.

When I am not studying or working, I am either traveling, scuba diving, running and just living life. I enjoy going to the pub on a friday night to have a beer and catch up with my friends as well sometimes have a little boogie (lets be honest, my dancing is horrible). I love random road trips in my little car and getting to know new people. I am also a bit of a book worm so sometimes you will find me hidden away with a great book.

I am a big fan of just grabbing life by the horns and making the most of it. I love the summer time, and spend most of the time by the water swimming or even attempting to play beach cricket. I am talkative, can tell some pretty lame jokes and I love a good laugh.

Overall, I just love meeting new people and learning all about them, their cultures and their experiences. I think everyone can add a little something to your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of couch surfing - I love to host and meet new and wonderful people and share a little bit of my life with them. whilst I have never surfed while i have traveled, I think its an amazing thing to do and great way to experience new cultures in a less touristy way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a great time with all the couch surfers I have hosted. We have had some funny times just going for a drive or cooking dinner together. I think this is an excellent way to repay all the kindness that I have ever received whilst traveling and it really is an amazing way to meet friends that you will have forever.

Interests

I love live music, and going out to explore various pubs. I enjoy getting lost in cities and exploring as much as I can. Meeting new people and gaining understanding of different cultures is also something that I really enjoy. I also have an interest in photography, and I love Scuba diving.

I love animals, people watching, beer gardens, bad karaoke and lame jokes. I have a new love for running and early morning swims.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will listen to just about anything. I grew up listening to 80's music thanks to my parents, so I really can have boogie (dance) to anything.

I love action movies, James bond is the man, and the Jason Bourne movies. But I do love a good chick flick with a terribly cliche ending.

As far as reading goes, I will read anything. Once I pick up a book its hard to get my attention until I've finished.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went scuba diving with 8 whale sharks in the Philippines and it was the most amazing, scary, but magical thing I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some lame jokes, bad dance moves, terrible australian slang and english :) I can also make play dough (thanks to my job) not sure how helpful it is but hey.
