About Me

I am a singing, songwriting, poetry-infused, coffee shop-hunting, hike-loving, art-happy, soul-investigating individual with adventure on the brain. I love kids and animals and activity, but I also love silence and days spent meandering through nature with nowhere pressing to go.

I love talking to people and learning about how they see the world. In my opinion, there is no right or wrong answer about how to view or experience life.

Life goals:
*To live in a place where I wake up to a body of water every morning.
*To be part of a community that takes care of itself with respect for all individuals and the globe.
*To adventure and laugh and sing as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my travels so far, couch surfing has always created opportunities that I couldn't have discovered on my own staying at a hotel. There is something down to earth about it, because it really connects you right away with individuals and families and gives everyone the opportunity to learn something new and have a blast! It reminds me that most people are good, that there are an infinite number of ways to experience life, and that everyone likes to have fun.

Interests

Playing music (open mics, songwriting, jamming), writing, making art, talking and playing with kids (love their wise perspectives), hunting for clothes, pins, beads and postcards in local shops, having interesting conversations about anything from travel to deep soul topics, exploring parks, trails, bodies of water, mountains...
I like finding reasons to exercise! A big fan of volleyball, biking, paddle-boarding and kayaking.
This list could really go on forever.
I like lots already. I hope to discover lots more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a wild four-year adventure that included moving across the country to Seattle, WA on my own, living there for two and a half years, travelling to Mexico during that time, meeting my awesome boyfriend Fernando there, and going to live in Oaxaca, MX for four months with him. The adventure is never over, of course, but I feel pretty stoked about the ones I've had so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most important thing I've harvested from the tumultuous garden of life is to love ceaselessly, through the good and the ugly. Love is the only thing about life that makes total sense.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can happily share my dessert-making skills (GF/V muffins, energy balls and homemade PB cups are my favorites). I would love to share my music, and can teach baritone ukulele. If you know Spanish, or want to learn more, I'd love to speak with you.
