ABOUT ME

I've been out of the CouchSurfing loop due to the inability to travel, but slowly spreading those wings again! I was hospitalized with a Pulmonary Embolism in April 2012 and was limited in any and all activities (Yoga was even too extreme). It was a life altering experience that has shaped my attitude and approach to life. I started 2015 with a clean bill of health and I have been taking advantage of it ever since.

PHILOSOPHY

Living to see the sunset and to watch the stars at night. Preserving what is left of the natural world and doing everything we can to restore it. Helping others in whatever capacity we can. Loving and accepting others for who they are instead of faulting each other for our differences. Being aware of one's surroundings and appreciating even the smallest details. Respect everything and love anything. Live with simplicity.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I love people. It's as simple as that. There's something so special about the human connection and I'm learning how to accomplish this even when cultural and language barriers are present. Couch surfing brings together like minded individuals and provides a safe community for travelers. I feel, in a way, we're all looking to expand our hearts and our minds while learning more about the world in which we live. CS does exactly that. It connects people in every corner of the world and creates a platform for lifelong friendships.

Intereses

Traveling off the beaten path, conservation and education, painting, writing, comedy, reading, biking, hiking, running, beach trips, road trips, and other kinds of trips, sunsets, starry nights, watching movies, meeting people, constantly learning alot about alot of different things, antiques, art and museums, anything relating to the ocean.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Traveling all the way to Indonesia to volunteer with the Orangutan Health Project. Fulfilled my life long dream of seeing an Orangutan in the wild. Not just once, but on three separate occasions!
