Hi I am Ben from the UK! I volunteer with children with learning difficulties. I often hitchhike and camp in Scotland on our days off and enjoy being outdoors. I’m very outgoing and love meeting new people, trying different foods, and finding hidden gems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Individually, we have each travelled to many different countries in the conventional backpackers way, staying in hostels. This time, we would like to meet more local people, learn about them and about each place we are in, and experience a different way of travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We both work in residential homes for children with learning difficulties, which is how we met. It's so rewarding to see the children become more independent self-confident and we both love our work.

Hazel has a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and is interested in anything to do with holistic well-being, learning about fungi, and the brain.
Ben has been a property developer for several years before volunteering.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hazel is half Thai and can make an excellent Thai meal!
