About Me
Throughout my 20s I lived in Canada, The Netherlands and Australia. Now at 31, I've been living back in the UK for the past 3 years with my boyfriend in our city centre Edinburgh flat. I'm always keen to explore the world through the lens of other people's experiences, and learn more about myself in the process. I want to continually push myself to do weird things, meet wacky people, and have wonderful experiences.
I love living in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. My favourite colour is orange. My younger sister is my best friend. I am constantly singing songs (badly, I should add). I enjoy going to the thaeatre... especially seeing musicals. (Next year my sister and I are going to see Hamilton and we can't wait!) I care deeply about protecting our environment and all things sustainability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make local connections on my short solo trip to Barcelona in November. Maybe to meet for dinner and visit a few local bars? Or a coffee
and exploring some cool neighborhoods together?
Interests
I spend my time going for long walks, reading books in coffee shops, going to pilates / yoga / spin classes and making the most of various events on offer in my city. I enjoy going out to the pub and also dancing the night away, but I'm just as comfortable spending an evening in front of Netflix with my boyfriend and our fish. (At the time of writing we have 6 but I wouldn't be surprised if this goes up pretty soon...)
I also love eating (and talking about) food... my pet peeve is when people throw away their leftovers (Why waste ?!) Luckily my boyfriend is a fabulous cook but we also enjoy going out to restaurants or ordering in a couple of pizzas.
Where I can, I buy everything second hand or locally sourced. Spending time exploring charity shops to find clothes and hidden gems (and then going for a bite to eat afterwards) is an ideal afternoon for me. ☺️
