ABOUT ME

Hey! So I live with my partner, Darryl (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/darrylblacker/)

We live in a one bedroom apartment tucked away in an industrial/ residential area- close to many cool spots in Toronto. I'm obsessed by the fact that this apartment has AMAZING sunlight (if you've ever lived in a basement, you know what I mean). If you are into the CN tower we have a good view of it.

Have a spare futon in the front room (no door/ common space)! Enough space for 1 or 2 people! Totally willing to show you around the city- on that note- I'm interested in making friends, NOT running a hotel- soooo if you don't wanna hang out look elsewhere.

A BIT ABOUT ME:
I was born in Pakistan, grew up to Hong Kong, and moved to Toronto for Uni a few years back; a couple of years ago I spent 6 months in Oslo (in WINTER!!), and it was probably one of the defining experiences of my life so far.

I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently- and would like to improve on my French and Norwegian ( I am pretty terrible at both--- totes up for language exchanges of some sort).

Ummmm what else... I play in two bands... juggle a couple of jobs/ gigs annddd... I am in the middle of completing an MEd. in Language and Literacies Education.

I love travelling [and am always up for more], hanging out, meeting new people, making food, doing crafty things like making shampoo and tie dying stuff, going to shows,beer, riding my bike, coffee and being outside (SUMMER ONLY!!) ALSO- learning how to garden (tips always appreciated).
