About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see, to hear, to understand, or at least try my best to.
ABOUT ME
I'm both a travel tragic and a homebody. One goes into hibernation while the other takes centre stage. At present there's a little conflict happening, but we are trying to reach an amenable compromise.
PHILOSOPHY
Unless you know what it's like to experience a situation, you have no right to judge another for their actions. Living in a small town I am continually bombarded by narrowminded bigotry. Meeting others from all walks of life allows me to appreciate how similar we all are in our hopes and goals in life, regardless of where we come from.
I try to live my life by my ideals. I try to be generous and thoughtful, and not to do things to hurt the planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far so good. Have hosted quite a lot of people now and really enjoying meeting all these wonderful new souls. Also did some couchsurfing in Java and Flores, Indonesia.
If I'm not accepting guests it's because I'm not home, but travelling myself. If I'm home, you can stay with me.
Interests
windsurfing, reading, bush walking/trekking, photography, cycling, nature, meditation, people watching, languages, organic gardening, and travelling of course. My god, how did I manage to leave snow skiing off this list???

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to any kind of music.
I rarely go to the movies, mainly because I hate Hollywood blockbusters and my country town cinema rarely shows anything else. Given a chance I'm into film noir and alternative/ art house flicks. And long bus trips in southern China saw me somewhat addicted to bad KungFu movies, ha ha!
Books, well I just can't get enough of them. You'll always find me with a head in a novel or two. I read the occasional biography but find I learn more about life through fiction than through a sanitised retelling of someone's life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Discovering that wherever I am in this great big world I feel totally at home!
Oh, and climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge back in the old days before CCTV, funny suits and for free!!
