ABOUT ME

I'm very genuine and down to earth. I like to ride my bicycle all over the city, even in the rain. :) Books are very important to me too. Sometimes I do nothing else but cook and read all day. I would say my main values are generosity, kindness, and trusting one's own intuition. I'm a bit of a Hufflepuff, except that I read all the time.

PHILOSOPHY

Notice things. Practice kindness. and practice some more. If if feels both good to the body and good to the soul, do it.

My friends are very important to me. We have people over for dinner and conversations about four nights a week. (hint: feeding people is kindof my thing.) When the weather is nice we might go for a long bike ride or go swimming if it's hot. (A friend of mine lives on a gorgeous swimming lake nearby.) Yoga gatherings and dance parties also happen at my house a lot. That's just our vibe. I love hip-hop music ('cause the beats make me feel alive), meeting foreigners (everyone is foreign somewhere), and learning other languages (a little Farsi, a smidgen of Portuguese, a pinch Spanish, a dollop of Hebrew). I am also part of a writers collective. I write mostly poetry, short stories, and an occasional zines caricaturing contemporary culture. I also like to paint. My sister and I (she lives a few hours away) have art-days where we draw and watercolor all afternoon, with lots cups of tea. It's a beautiful life.
