ABOUT ME
I moved to Albany in August 2013 to begin my Master of Public Health program. Since I live with 3 roommates, hosting would be tricky at the moment, but I'd like to make some connections through CS.
I spent 2 years with AmeriCorps, first in Jacksonville FL and then Pittsburgh PA. I'm enjoying getting to know Albany.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was introduced to CouchSurfing when I lived in Jacksonville. My roommate and I hosted several couchsurfers there and I really enjoyed each experience. I'm hoping to host again in Albany, but if not I would at least like to find some fellow CS enthusiasts in the area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In my short time in Jacksonville, we hosted two different folk bands, two independent European travelers, a young couple about to embark on a Peace Corps mission, and a hilarious group of young friends. Hosting is a great way to see your own city through a new lens, and the times spent with our couchsurfers are some of my fondest memories of Jax. I love meeting people from all walks of life and it's great to see how much we can learn from each other.
Interests
People--friends, family, and strangers. I love people watching, studying people, and interacting with others.
Animals--dogs, cats, bears, tigers, foxes, birds...I'm an animal and wildlife lover.
Health--I'd like to continue a career in public health and health education.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month in Tours, France living with a host family in my freshman year of college. I wish I retained more French, but it was a pretty great experience getting to live and experience another culture. Also on a side note, my trip to France was my first ever plane ride. I've never traveled much but I'd love to change that.
