Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cover the globe one continent at a time, and enjoy a variety of beers and new people along the way
ABOUT ME
I don't know what to say without making this sound like an online dating profile. I spend my days tutoring, my nights teaching undergrad statistics, and the occasional weekend at beer festivals or brewery tastings. Little things make me happy, like how I recently managed to not only avoid killing an orchid plant, but also to coax the last buds into blossoming. When I have time to take naps, they are my favorite part of the day.
PHILOSOPHY
Find a purpose in life - what gets you out of bed in the morning?
Brotip #1749: Every minute that you spend being angry, you lose sixty seconds of being awesome. Don't be wasteful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Once I carve out my own niche in life, I will host as often as I can. For now, I can only be hosted or act as an area guide for visitors to Atlanta.
Open message to Atlanta visitors: if you'd like suggestions on where to eat or what to do, or perhaps a companion for drinking, dining, or coffee, message me and we'll try to work something out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience has been limited but lovely.
Interests
Shoes and ships and sealing wax.
Also, beer, adorable animals (especially miniature pigs), comedic and absurdist authors, conversing about scientific discovery and statistical theory and applications, making lists, daydreaming, walking purposefully or aimlessly...

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to whatever music fits my mood. Bubblegum pop when the weather is nice and I can drive around with my sunroof open. Hard rock when I'm stuck in traffic and want to scream. Blues when I'm feeling wistful. Rap when I'm feeling OG. Classic rock when I think the people in the car next to me can hear me and I don't want them to hear my pop playlist. I'll watch most movies, but I avoid most of the horror genre. My favorite authors are Bill Bryson, Arthur Nersesian, Augusten Burroughs, and Christopher Moore.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful and amazing thing I've ever seen are the sandstone formations in Arches National Park.
Teach, Learn, Share
Be respectful of the person whose home you are staying in - it is not a hotel and you are not a rock star. Read profiles thoroughly before requesting a place to stay, as some people have keywords or phrases in their profiles to make sure you have paid attention.
