ABOUT ME

My name is Heather and I am currently living in Granada, Spain for the next five months. My friends and I are studying abroad through our college in the U.S.
I am really open to trying new things and love to see the culture of others. It is important for me to take time to travel and understand the ways of other countries.

PHILOSOPHY

Have no regrets. I hate doubting people. I think it´s important to live in the present and not in the past. Too many people analyze their life, and need to just live freely.

Live like a Spanish person. They never wear watches, they are careful, enjoyable people. I love the Spanish culture and it has taught me a lot about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven´t been able to host because I live with a host family in Granada at the moment but CS has allowed me to travel and see the country from a native's perspective!I have only couchsurfed twice now, but hope to do it much more in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was something I don't know if anyone can top! I went to Lisbon and stayed with a woman named Heather. She was fantastic and really showed us every part of Lisbon and the "suburbs" of Lisbon. She cooked for us and welcomed us into her home. My other experience wasn't so great, although I believe we were different people. He was kind to me but I did have some of his friends steal some of our groceries. =(

None the less, I plan to couchsurf and hopefully host in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

i LOVE the twilight series! I am obsessed with techno music, alternative, and rap. I like almost anything and lately I have enjoyed listening to Spanish music! I don't really see many movies, but I am always up for a good love story. I like watching movies that other people reccommend :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I´ve done in my life is studied abroad in Granada...I´m still living the dream. I am here for 5 months and it has been amazing so far. I have been fortunate enough to live with a host family here in Granada and I have learned so much from them. I was also lucky enough to travel to Italy with two friends.
