About Me
I first started using CS when I moved to Finland. Well because approaching a total stranger was a bit out of the question after the first few reactions I got. But I had my first real CS experience many years ago in Paris. The more I learned about the idea behind it and the more like-minded people I met, the more I loved the concept. To my family, hospitality is very cultural and deeply embedded in our day-to-day life. However to host or be hosted out of mere internet for another human being is just beautiful to me.
I have been on the path of self discovery and self-purification for quite sometime now. The journey is nowhere close to ending but I thinking meeting new people with diverse backgrounds is a great way to learn about the realities of life. I don’t just want to meet and have a good time, I want to learn what truly makes people who they are, what experiences have shaped them and how they have overcome pain and how it has attributed to their personalities. That’s not to say I can’t be a fun person. Ey, I can let loose.
But I’m also very intuitive and receptive to one’s aura and energy. And life has been teaching me to trust my gut feeling and every day I am trying to listen to it. That’s another reason I am willing to get out of my comfort zone and meet people outside my circle on CS.
I hate small talk, but I can definitely enjoy a beautiful exchange with a total stranger I run into.
I don’t like contemporary labels. I don’t like boxing someone up merely to satisfy your curiosity or questions about one’s origin - please don’t be so basic. And no, nationality is not and should not be part of one’s identity.
Another shocker: I don’t do Tiktok.
I do however have a profound appreciation for people who can challenge my thinking and who can hold an intellectually stimulating conversation
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well…why not?
Interests
Playing and watching sports, running, reading, listening to music, talking long walks, painting, baking, cooking, and photography
Music, Movies, and Books
Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you live life) I am not so much of a movie person (I have not watched any of the classics - not even the Titanic). Numerous people have promised to take me on a movie marathon but failed due to a lack of inspiration.
Also, I have been a student my whole life and reading heavily academically which leaves little time for pleasure. And when I do have time, I read to learn new languages because I am a language enthusiast.
I used to love to paint. Mostly oil painting. Then I’m not sure what happened. Oh yes, COVID happened.
I love to be in touch with nature to recharge myself as I have always lived in the city. Long walks are my thing. I am also very interested in the science behind walking and creative thinking.
I am also passionate about food and cooking. I love intuitive cooking and inventing new recipes. I get that from my mother! I am a believer of purification the soul through good food.
My taste in music is quite broad-ranged. I like almost everything from the old and the classics to R&B and Hip-Hop.
