ABOUT ME

... Alain was born in Paris, France and became an American after he married his wife Sandy. Being a yacht-charter captain for about 30 years, he sailed the Mediterannean and the Caribbean seas. In 1995 we moved to Hawaii with our three children. We first built a tree-house in the Fern Forest close to Volcano Village and lived like the Robinson family for 6 months prior to our move to Puako and Waikoloa Village on the west coast. After driving limousines and motorcoaches for 2 years Alain became a massage therapist at the Mauna-Lani Spa,(http://www.maunalani.com/s_st_aquatic_body_treatments.htm ) soon followed by Sandy Both of them are Watsu Practitioners (a type of aquatic body work) and they love to be with people, helping them to feel well. PHILOSOPHY

I am a part of the Spiritual Israel and a follower of Yahweh, Yashua and their Holy Spirit.
I am afraid of religion and religious people. I love the seekers of Truth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My boats, then our home have always been opened to people.
I have been part of the Hospitality Club for a year. We hosted a beautiful couple from Canada, a lovely young student girl from India. We were hosted by a nice young Canadian Polish couple in Vancouver in May 2008. We were guests in Vancouver, San Diego twice, and Levanto in Italy and we loved our hosts....But being in Hawaii we got to be hosting more than we get to be guests....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Atlantic twice from Europe to the Caribbean, as captain on charter yachts and once From Martinique (French Antilles) back to Antibes (French Riviera) as a crew.

I became a Christian in 1989. A miracle.

I wish to create with my wife a B & B, retreat in Asia with Watsu Pool, library and media production.

I believe in Separation of Church & States.

Me and my wife are involved with MEA, an association dedicated to eradicate "exision" FGM (Female Genitale Mutilation) in Sierra Leone in Africa. Check it out at http://mea-usa.org
