About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have an insatiable curiosity and hunger for knowledge.

ABOUT ME

My friends call me random, down-to-earth, and easy to get along with. I'm pretty shy, but once I get to know someone I'm a very loyal friend. I like reading and writing, thinking and walking, and hanging out with friends. Every situation is a new learning experience, so I try not to take any second of my life for granted.

Currently applying to grad school to be a librarian and planning my first trip to South America in Summer 2016.

PHILOSOPHY

Some years ago I studied Wicca and learned the golden rule: so that it doesn't harm another. Since then, I have tried to base my life around that ideal. No one is entitled to anything and we need to treat all others as we want to be treated. The earth is supreme, and we must treat it with respect and care.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Moving to Los Angeles Mar 2016, so am looking forward to meeting up with interesting Angelenos.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I go through a lot of phases in my quest to learn about everything, so I have surfed a great deal of my friends' couches long-term. I surfed extensively with friends from 2005 to 2010. I had the lovely experiences of spending my first times in Portland, OR and Pittsburgh, PA with new friends made through CouchSurfing.org.

Interests

travel (local and not-so-local); art (I just like to be around it); books and libraries and zines, oh my!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books. I enjoy science fiction, dystopic (and the occasional utopic) fiction, anthropology and sociology, and travel narrative.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very analytical and I never see anything for what it is on the surface.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Deep conversations, some useful Spanish phrases, and maybe some interesting book titles. I love meeting new people and learning their stories past the realm of small talk. Also, I'm extremely neat and organized.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Guatemala, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, United States
