About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Promote cycling and environmental awareness by riding my bicycle 5005 miles to support www.climateride.org

ABOUT ME

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. -Mark Twain

I love this quote and try to live my life in this way. Live life. Experience as much as I can. And laugh as much as possible along the way. I am currently cycling around the East Coast and cross country promoting Climate Ride 2009 (www.5005miles.blogspot.com)

PHILOSOPHY

Do the right thing, treat people right, put yourself in good places and good things will happen to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I´m brand new, so just getting started, but there was a time recently in Washington, DC that my mother and I met a German girl that was visiting for the weekend. DC, like many cities is a beautiful place, but without a car it´s sometimes difficult to get a true feel for a place. Mom and I gave this girl a tour of our favorite, off the beaten path, places. It was really great to help a fellow traveller out and hopefully give her a memory she will not forget.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whether it's a couch or just coffee, I can think of no better way to be introduced to a new city or country. It's been amazing.

Interests

Laughing. Adventure, traveling (duh), photography, spontaneity, music, live performance, the mountains and anything active outside (running, cycling, camping, hiking, fly fishing, climbing, skiing, boarding, soccer, triathlon, diving, playing in the waves, etc).
