ABOUT ME
I like smiling. And laughing. And lounging. I like meeting new people and learning what they think about the world.
I enjoy traveling - and especially couchsurfing - because it is the best way to dive in to a culture and meet new, real people.
I am always up for an adventure or a crazy idea. Sometimes I even have a few of my own...
In the end I guess the most important thing about me is that I love the arts (I use the term in the broadest sense). Humans can create things! That's crazy!!!
PHILOSOPHY
To leave the world more beautiful than I found it.
I think that everyone goes through life as an artist. Some people hate that word: 'artist' but it is just a word after all. Through the simple acts of looking, imagining, thinking and communicating we are building the world around us. Every day, every moment, we are all involved in the artistic process of shaping our reality.
I try and build this reality as responsibly as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was lucky enough to surf my way through Europe for 2 years. Now that I'm home I can return the favor!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed (officially) on the couches of great people throughout Europe. Then there's all the WWOOFing and random traveling before I found this wonderful website.
Interests
My dream is to one day create a communally owned organic farm with shared studio spaces and facilities, where ANYONE can come to farm, make art and music, and enjoy life!

Music, Movies, and Books
I always travel with a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and the SAS Survival Handbook.
I enjoy most types of music but I especially love reggae, hip-hop, dance, folk, bluegrass, indie and good ole' rock & roll.
I will read just about anything, and lots of it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once lived in the desert of New Mexico and made sculpture out of trash with the Wasteland Beautification Project. Our most successful project was turning a rusted water tank into a desert sailboat- complete with 20 foot tall mainmast and sail patched from old clothes.

Teach, Learn, Share
I would be more than happy to share my knowledge of some of the more technical art processes like printmaking, woodworking and metalworking.
I also have limited knowledge of construction/repairs and farming. I can cook, sew, and fix lots of things!
I want to learn more about EVERYTHING
