Overview
About Me
Hi, Im Heath, I come from the USA, I was born and raised in the Southern part of the USA (Yes, I do have a Southern USA accent). I am currently living in Germany and I am learning German, I'm not great at speaking yet but I can understand most of what is said to me and I can read it fairly well too.
I am passionate about Rugby, LGBTQ+ rights and helping immagrants. I guess this makes me by USA standards very Liberal. I like to think of myself as open minded, considerate of others and empathetic as well.
When I am in a new city I enjoy trying new foods, walking around and seeing new sights and finding out where the locals go for beer/cocktails.
I can be shy at first but I tend to open up rather quickly once I feel comfortable with people that I'm around. I have been told by friends that I am a very witty and clever person, I really like to joke around a lot. Laughing is my favorite thing to do.
I am a very patient person. Being abroad has made me more patient with others as I know what it is like to be in a place where you don't speak the same language and have to struggle to get your needs/wants across to the other person, it's terrifying! So I understand the courage it takes to speak a language that isn't your 1st language.
If you want to know more, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm an open book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think just leaving the United States and putting myself out of my comfort zone, having to trust and depend on others (often kind-hearted strangers) to help when I don't understand the language. It has been really rewarding and eye-opening.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be a good tandem partner for those looking to improve their English as I am a native speaker. I also wouldn't mind helping to clean their home or cook a meal.
