I have lived on 3 continents, completed 2 degrees, and have 1 ex-wife. Hitting what I can only call a very cynical old age in my early 30s due to illness, I decided to take things a little slower and spend more time discovering the world and myself. As a result I have a pitifully small wage and live in a quiet but beautiful location, which most people only visit as tourists. I spend half my life reading travel books, volunteering, playing games with fellow geeks and chasing dogs around the local park.

I'm an adventurous 34 year old always looking for a new experience. I am a low income earner, but I do not let that hold me back. Travel is my passion. I have slept at a bus stop snuggling stray dogs. I love meeting new people in strange places, even if they do have 4 legs!

I love hosting friends and friends of friends, cooking for them and showing them around my town and the national parks that surround it. Respectful strangers with good reference could also expect the same VIP treatment.

I have eclectic music tastes and it would be easier to state what I do not like. Looking at my current most played list I find a bit of trance, a lot of pop and some blues. I read a LOT of books with travel writing, science fiction, fantasy and historical writing being my favourites.

I love rock climbing and live in one of the best places to explore this in Australia. This is a passion that I like to share and help to teach others how to enjoy (I hasten to add that I am not a legally qualified safety instructor).
