Overview
About Me
I work a lot but I love my job. I run around all day and talk to people about the fantastic things that they're doing. Then I get to write about it.
I know way to much about liquor and cocktails, but am a food and music critic by trade.
I like to do yoga, cook, read, hang out with my dog, knit and drink coffee when I'm free. Recently started getting into hiking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mostly I am looking to be hosted, honestly. I don't actually have a couch, but I have a rug on my floor and some extra blankets if you're interested. Always happy to meet new and interesting people.
Interests
Basically, I want to learn something about everything. As much as I can. If there's passion behind it, it's interesting to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
This could be a mountain so let's keep it simple. Right now I'm digging Henry Miller and magical realism. Kubrick is my man, but I'm a sucker for horror films and arty stuff... Think Paul Thomas Anderson. These are, in no particular order, my five favorite albums:
Black Sabbath's Paranoid, The Beatles' The White Album, of Montreal's Hissing Fauna..., Queen's A Night at the Opera, and David Bowie's Hunky Dory
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in a foreign country--one in which I did not speak the language--for six months. That was definitely a learning experience.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden
