Overview
About Me
LA lady living in Coastal North San Diego County, California. I'm an artist, graphic designer, typography nerd, nature-loving hippie, and a hopeless case of wanderlust. Travel is my absolute favorite thing to do, and I love meeting new people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard great things about the couchsurfing community! As an avid traveler, I'm interested in meeting like-minded people and making new friends from all over. I would also be open to hosting travelers from around the world and sharing my community with them. My little area of Southern California is quite beautiful, and I'm close to San Diego, Orange County, and only a couple hours from Los Angeles.
Interests
Travel, art, music, food, hiking, exploring new places, kayaking, swimming, cooking...really anything fun. I'm all about trying to fill my life with as much fun as possible. I'm all about new experiences...going new places, trying new foods, and doing new things. I'm also trying to learn both French and Spanish right now. My French is fairly terrible, but I've studied a bit and know some very basic French. Would love to practice with somebody! My Spanish is a little better, but still pretty bad. Shameful, considering we're only about 30 miles away from Mexico...so if you want to practice Spanish with me, I would love that!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I'm very open to a lot of genres. It really depends on my mood, but I've been known to listen to everything from African music, to pop, to country, to reggae, to old school rock and roll, and everything in between.
Books- I loooove books. I'm a big fan of travelogues like Eat, Pray, Love and anything by Bill Bryson. Love Khaled Hosseini, The Art of Happiness, the Hunger Games series, the Harry Potter series, The Help, anything by Lisa See, and way too many others to list here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one?
I recently traveled to Australia, where I snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, drove on the opposite side of the road, ate amazing food, visited stunning rainforests, climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, saw a show at the Sydney Opera House, and had an overall amazing time in general. I suppose that's more than one thing, but we'll just log it all under 'traveled to Australia'.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to practice my Spanish or French with any native speakers. If you're looking to practice your English, I can help with that (and I'm actually a certified TEFL teacher and California certified English teacher-though it's not my profession, but I do know all about how to teach the language, hahaha).
I'm super outdoorsy. Love to hike, go to the beach, swim, kayak, go camping, etc. I love to eat great food and try new foods (sadly, no gluten though as it makes me ill :(...tragic, I know).
I love going out dancing but now that I'm in my thirties I find a nice evening out without too much drinking that ends at a reasonable hour is more my speed.
I'm a hula dancer, which I absolutely love :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, and of course I'm a graphic designer so if you need any design work, I can help with that as well. I'm also open to helping out with chores around the house or whatever you need :)
