Hey peeps! I’m currently travelling the globe for a year in 2019. The short-lived vacation time that I was getting from Corporate America was simply not satisfying my Wanderlust, nor allowing me to authentically experience the places I was visiting. My company is based in NY and I’m incredibly grateful that they’re allowing me to work remotely for them while I embark on this adventure. I started in South America, made me way through southern Europe and have been continuing eastward. I have met so many interesting and incredible people during my journey and cannot wait to meet more and swap travel / life stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t want to simply exist in the places I’m visiting, I want to get a deeper understanding of the people, culture, traditions, food, etc. I particularly want to connect with locals but would also love to connect with fellow travelers to hear about their own personal journeys.

Interests

I am a huge sports fan and love to play / watch basically any competition. Volleyball is my passion and I would play all day and night if I could. It has opened so many doors for me during my travels and allowed me to genuinely connect with a ton of local people. I also love the outdoors, hiking, camping and getting lost in the wilderness. I have an endless need for adventure, and firmly believe that adventure is a dish best enjoyed together 😊

Music, Movies, and Books

I am obsessed with music, particularly live music, and have been to more concerts and music festivals across the globe than I can count. Attending a concert is one of my favorite activities. Name the show and I’ll meet you there! I particularly enjoy 90s rock / alternative, classic rock, hip-hip, and R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiked with my mom in the middle of Turkey and ended up joining our drivers for a sunset hike then an authentic BBQ at their house with fresh fruits and veggies picked straight from their garden!

Played Rock Paper Scissor to decide on a trip to Hawaii and spent most of the trip hiking and camping, including trekking along the Kalalau Trail into the valley and camping there for several days! I also swam with sharks cage-free while on that trip due to an issue with the cage! 🦈

I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge and am open to any local tips, fun facts, or random information that you’re willing to share! I can teach you how to play volleyball (I am a former coach) or how to dominate a fantasy baseball league 😊
