About Me
**Please read my profile before offering to host me**
Wow, writing about yourself is difficult. What can I say... well, I'm an easy going person who's up for pretty much any adventure! I'm not much of a partier these days - I'd prefer to spend my time exploring new places on foot, hiking, or having a beer at the pub. I'm also a big fan of hunting for the best book shops in each place I go, and I love exploring with my camera. I'm looking to split my time between hostels and couches during my trip.
I've spent the last year in Australia, with a three week stint in India and Nepal at the start of my trip. I've been living in Hobart, Tasmania for the past 10 months working at MONA and at a hostel as a receptionist. It's been an amazing experience to get more involved in both the local and the backpacking community in such depth.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message me :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love seeing the local viewpoint of a place and what better way than by staying with a local!
Interests
Apart from travelling? I love photography, writing, dry British humour, dogs (if you have a dog, there's a very good chance we'll get along), staying active at the gym and outdoors, and exploring new places on foot. Like I said earlier, I'm not a partier at all. But I'm up for going for a pint or a scotch once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much everything, but I have a soft spot for classic rock, jazz, and hip hop. I worked in a video store for 6 years and pretty much hoard books, so it's safe to say I'm pretty open when it comes to both of those as well! "Back in 6 Years" by Tony Robinson-Smith is a hard one to find, but is worth a read if you're interested in extended travel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving home at 18 to live half way across the world was a good one, I think
Paragliding over the Annapurna Valley
Stopping in the middle of Jaipur traffic to pet an elephant
Please mention one of these things in any communications and, if offering to host, please use the appropriate function instead of a private message :)
Teach, Learn, Share
The best way to connect with someone is to listen to their story - everyone has a good story, whether they believe it or not. I've learned so much about the world just from listening to how people navigate through theirs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to cook, clean, and help out around the house. I think I take better care of other people's home than I do my own. If you have a project that you need help with, let me know and I'll gladly see if I can help out!
