About Me

I absolutely love to travel. As a ski instructor for 10 years I tried to make it a priority in the off season. I grew up on a tiny island near Seattle and attended college in the city. I moved to Montana to get away from the traffic and closer to skiing.
Now my boyfriend (who I met in Montana) and I are currently living in Germany and working from home in order to do more travelling and meet new and exciting people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been told that I know someone in every town/country and so now I am on a personal mission to make that happen.

I have used couchsurfing with friends in the past and had a great experience. I find it a fun and economical way to travel and meet people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music but I have individual songs/groups that I hate. For instance, love rock, HATE U2. LOVE hip-hop (Snoop will always be my boy) HATE macy gray (does anyone even know who that is anymore?). I love classical music by any russian composer, but HATE the elevator music that trys to pass as classical.

As for books, I try to find a healthy balance between my trashy romance novels with 2-3 non-fiction or historical books. Like my taste in music, my taste in books is also all over the place and eclectic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a week and a half backpacking in the gorge of the Grand Canyon.

Worked as a ski instructor for the US military in Germany.

I was a wilderness guide in Alaska and lived on a boat while doing so. (Yes I did see bears, about 10 per day, not even exaggerating a little.)
