ABOUT ME

I've worked as an English teacher for the last six years- been to Indonesia, Budapest, Ukraine and most recently Korea. I want to travel as much as I possibly can before my hatred of waiting for flights in different airports takes over. Changi airport overnight layover almost pushed me over the edge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I have a couch/bed, I can happily host, otherwise meeting people through groups and meetups, and surfing are my key interests. I get a bit irritated with people that try to use Couchsurfing as a dating site (I'm looking at you creepy dudes in my inbox). Please don't be that kind of douche. Don't do it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Italy, Taiwan, and Malaysia and hosted a little in Budapest. Looking forward to doing a little more of both in the next couple of years/places.

Interests

I love to travel, read, write, meet new people, dance and sing badly, learn new languages, trying new things. I really love movies and film, though it's been a while since I've had a chance to really check out anything interesting.

I love cooking (and eating) and any chance to learn how to cook a new type of cuisine is something I'd happily try. I love spicy foods, exotic foods, salty foods and sweet foods. I'm not the best at cooking, but I try and experiment so I'm getting better. I have a few signature dishes that I'd be happy to cook for you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

More recently, I kind of hiked to (almost the top of) Daedunsan mountain in Korea.

I didn't punch a small child in the Changi airport nap lounge that cried for literally 5 hours (that's the closest to almost murder I've ever been... haha! ).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of English and the other languages (like German, French, Indonesian, Russian though my knowledge is poor in some languages),and general travelling tips. I'd love to learn how to blow glass- it's been a life long dream of mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can easily share stories, recipes and I'll happily cook for you if you'd like to try something different! I'm a good travel companion and I pride myself on openness and positivity- unless it's cold and wet... then I pride myself on humour and sarcasm? :D
