ABOUT ME

My friends think I have a bad sense of humour but I strongly disagree...who doesn't like hearing a pun everyday? I know I'm guilty...
I grew up in the small Northern Ontario town of Wawa where I received proper bear training and a love for the outdoors! When my family would visit the city, my siblings and I would run up and down the mall escalators thinking they were rides ...it is safe to say my parents avoided malls and opted for single floored shops whenever possible...I've gotten better since then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have only been surfing but once I find a place to settle down I would love to start hosting as well. I was shown such generosity and hospitality by all of my European hosts that I am keen to pay it forward!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with many hosts while traveling through Europe. All have been amazing, very friendly, welcoming people who I hope to reconnect with later on in the future.

Interests

Sport: Volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, windsurfing, sailing, AFL, snowboarding
Travel
Animals: My first pet was Curious the hamster whom I took for walks in my little, red wagon.
Pastries: dont even let me into a bakery
Marine biology: Took a class in Australia and loved searching the intertidal zone for creatures...the lab write up afterwards was less enjoyable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went sky diving while in New Zealand and have seen the Northern Lights while in Finland! I have also been lucky enough to do two exchanges; a year in Durban, South Africa in 2005 and a semester exchange in university to Canberra, Australia. Just recently I went on a 4 month European backpacking trip where I met amazing locals and indulged in great food and drink!
